It has been a busy Spring in Somerville.  In addition to the Mayor’s Urban Agriculture Initiative which kicked off the season with a series of events about urban food production,  a new proposed Urban Ag Ordinance and City Hall garden, the Morse Kelley Playground opened with 19 new gardening plots.  The MK community garden and some of its gardeners were featured in the May issue of Landscape Architecture Magazine when the City’s Senior Planner for Landscape Design, Luisa Oliveira, responded to the editor’s question of  what are the ways “that landscape architects can reshape the future of the food supply?” with the examples of what is happening in the ‘Ville.
